Where's my Summer?

I just got home from San Diego on Sunday. It's nice being home, but once again I am sitting on the couch doing nothing. I've been to the city about three times in the past three days. Stupid Chinese consulate not being open on a non-holiday. I'm leaving for China in 5 days! AH! I'm getting really scared/excited. So many confused emotions are going on right now! I just hope that I don't forget anything important or that nothing terrible happens to me while I'm there. Although I want to make sure that I do EVERYTHING cool while I'm there. I don't want to come back to the US saying, "man, I wish I had done ---- while I was in China." This will officially be the first time that I travel alone to a different country - and I'm freaking going to the other side of the world! So yes.... the freaking out stage has begun.

But can I just say that the beginning of the summer was the most amazing time I've ever had. Yes, I'm talking about Orientation! I cannot even begin to describe how much fun I had meeting all of the new freshies and hanging out with all the other OL's. I definitely feel like I have a new found family away from home :) I was actually really sad when it was all over, but at least there's one more orientation session to look forward to. And plus I get to hang out with one of my favorite nor-cal OL's tomorrow at the movies... Mikey and I are gonna go see Superman in 3D IMAX! Way cool, huh?

Alrighty, well I guess I should get goin. I've got lots more to do before Monday! Wish me luck in China!!!

Renewal

Wow, Xanga is so much different than when I last really looked at it. There are so many cool new features! So I tried fixing up my site a bit, making it a little more legible with colors and what not.

I'm about to write a paper for my COMT109 class about the dangers of children using blogs (online predators and stuff), and it got me thinking about my own blog and how I neglected it so much this year.

There are some benefits to blogging that I realized while researching for my paper. Like helping you to become a better writer, finding out more about yourself, and being able to express your true feelings. I think I might make this site private soon, just so the rezzies don't get into the depths of my thoughts.

Here is a pic of me and the boy at the Revelle leadership banquet last week.

AriZona is HoT! I feel like i'm in an oven!

But the AXO's here are awesome... and their house ROCKS!

Recruitment is the never ending story... long days and even longer conversations with PNM's (but at least its not my problem).

Having fun in AZ!
